Stancecu's overtime goal sets Fribourg under pressure for game 3 at home

Fribourgs plan for game 2 was clear. Less individual mistakes in the defense and more goals. And that's exactly what Tristan Vauclair did with
3 minutes played. Martin Ness' cross pass to Vauclair led to the 1:0 and a lead that would last to the 30th minute when forward Tommi Santala's shot went through
the five-hole of Benjamin Conz.

37th minutes were played when Tommi Santala played a pass within the offensive zone from the red line back to Lukas Stoop who fired a shot on Benjamin Conz. The shot was deflected by Matthias Bieber unstoppable for the Fribourg goalie.

The third period started furious with 3 minutes played and Joel Kwiatkowsky's shot from the neutral zone on Martin Gerber. The puck rebounded in front of the Flyers goalie where Christian Dubé was in the right postition and scored the equalising goal. For the rest of the third period Fribourg had various chances to score the game winning goal but Martin Gerber kept his goal clean.

For the first time in this years playoffs, both teams had to go to overtime to decide the winner. A catastrophic no-look backhand pass in the 66th minute from Fribourg defenseman Sebastian Schilt in their own zone was perfect for Cyrill Bühler who saw Victor Stancescu standing by himself, passed the puck and Stancescu shot the puck past the shoulder of Conz to give Kloten a 3:2 overtime win.

Both teams meet again for game 3 in Fribourg on Tuesday.
