Record profit for World Championship in Belarus

The last World Championship broke the record of profit and attendance.

 
 
 
 
Belarus earned more than 14 million euro from last World Championship, said at the TV channel "Belarus 1"  the President of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Evgeny Vorsin. The planned revenue exceeded 13 million euro."Somehow we still have costs - added Vorsin. - However we plan to further develop the hockey in our country with the profits".

The World Championship also recorded a new record of attendance: Minsk-Arena and Chizhovka Arena were visited by 643 434 spectators (for an average of more than 10, 000 for every game), a new record.
