Kaberle to Sign AHL Deal with Hartford Wolf Pack

Euroockey.com has confirmed from organizational sources that request anonymity that Tomas Kaberle the 36 year old NHL veteran defenseman who played last season with HC Kladno of the Czech Elite League (48 games four goals and 24 points) will sign an AHL PTO deal with the Hartford Wolf Pack tomorrow morning and will skate with the Wolf pack tomorrow night against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Kaberle will then likely play in one of two other two weekend games in Bridgeport Saturday night or Sunday afternoon at the XL Center against the Manchester Monarchs as the Rangers will evaluate whether to sign him to an NHL deal.
Kaberle last played in the NHL with Montreal during the lockout season in 2012-13. He has 984 NHL games with 87 goals, 476 assits and 563 points mostly with the Toronto Maple Leafs who drafted the Czech native in the 8thround of the 1996 NHL Draft. Kaberle in his heyday was a swift skating mobile big man has played just two AHL games with the St. John’s Maple Leafs in 1997-’98.
