Fernholm takes a time out
Djurgårdens IF's star defenseman Daniel Fernholm is forced to take a time out from hockey. After a heavy hit by Luleå's Johan Forsberg against his head a year ago, Daniel now suffers from a concussion.
It's been a year of headache, pain and struggle to come back for Daniel Fernholm, but finally he had to give up and take a time out from hockey. -"Me and Djurgården have talked about it and agreed that this is the best. I'm not going to play this season," Fernholm said in an interview.
Fernholm hopes that he will be able to come back and live a normal life as soon as possible and he's got a tip on a head specialist by former coach Ulf Dahlén. -"I hope he can help me," Daniel said.
Though his career may not be over, Fernholm have had a great one so far. He have played in SHL, AHL, KHL, Liiga, Italian League and NLA. He's also represented Team Sweden in 59 games. So he's an experienced player and this is a huge break for Djurgårdens IF.
