Targeting the improvement of the team to compete at home Olympics, Korea want to add more experience and skills in the roster

Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) will ask the government to naturalize two Canadian-born hockey players, with an eye on improving the national team for the next Winter Olympics a spokesman said in a brief release, as reported by news agency Yonhap News.
KOC said it will recommend goalie Matt Dalton and defenseman Eric Regan to the Justice Ministry for special naturalization. Both players currently are part of Anyang Halla club, competing in Asia League. "Regan could add a new, physical dimension to South Korean defense" said the press release, if should he be allowed to represent the country.
South Korea won last year's World Championship Division IB in Eindhoven, Netherlands, earning the promotion to Division I, alligning three naturalized players in the roster: Canadians Michael Swift and Brock Radunske and American Mike Testwuide. Another Canadian, defender Bryan Young, has played for Korea since 2013.
