We have seven candidates for our monthly award. Two from KHL and one from each of Belarus league, Slovak Extraliga, Elitserien, Norwegian GET-Ligaen and the Kazakhstan league.

Vladimir Tarasenko (Sibir, KHL)Sibir's young forward (born 1991) scored 8 goals and seven assists in 11 games in October. He is fifth in KHL in scoring, and tied second in goal.
Jakub Petruzalek (Amur, KHL)Jakub Petruzalek scored 9 goals and 7 assists in October's 12 games. He leads the KHL in scoring and Amur leads the East Division much thanks to him.
Mihail Stefanovich (Gomel, Belarus league)Mihail Stefanovich played 9 league games in October and scored 10 goals and 8 assists. He leads the Belarus league in scoring with 27 points in 18 games.
Zigmund Palffy (Skalica, Slovakia)Palffy scored 20 points (5+15) in 12 games in October to help Skalica to be first in the Slovak Extraliga.
Mike Iggulden (Växjö, Elitserien)Iggulden scored 14 points in 11 games in October and leads Elitserien in scoring with a 5-point margin. His team Växjö, newcomer in Elitserien, holds a playoff spot thanks to his scoring success.
Justin Donati (Vålerenga, Norway GET-Ligaen)Donati scored 5 goals and 14 assists in 7 games in October in the Norwegian league.
Dmitri Malgin (Ertis-Pavlodar, Kazakhstan)The goalie of Ertis-Pavlodar in the Kazakhstan league earned five shutouts in a row. Between October 13 and 25 he played 5 league games without allowing one single goal.
