Game recap

A three-goal second-period brace in 26 seconds helped Coventry Blaze to a 4-3 win over Manchester Storm on Wednesday night at the Skydome.

It was a scoreless opening period at the Skydome but when the deadlock was broken in period two, the goals came flooding in.

Manchester took the lead with an Anthony DeLuca powerplay goal with pin-point accuracy at 26:20. However, the Blaze responded with three goals in 26 seconds to turn the game on its head. Kim Tallgerg equalised almost immediately at 26:36 before Peyton Frantti's throw out front deflected off Jeremy Brodeur and into the net from behind the goal line at 26:51. Tallberg then made it 3-1 at 27:02 to complete a remarkable turnaround for the hosts. JD Dudek out-waited Brodeur for the home side's fourth at 29:50, but DeLuca did hit back for the visitors at 31:57 to leave it a two-goal game after 40 minutes.

A late Dallas Ehrhardt goal put the Storm back to within one, but they couldn't find an equaliser in the final 110 seconds and Coventry held on for the win.
