Game recap

Manchester Storm ended their three-game loss streak with a 7-3 win over Glasgow on Sunday night, extending Clan's record to four league games without a win.

In what was an end to end, but feisty, opening period, the teams ended tied after 20 minutes. Storm took the lead with 11:46 played when Stephen Johnson's pass across the front of Antti Karjalainen's crease deflected past him off Bryce Reddick as he attempted to block the lane.

Ryan Harrison and Matt Murphy dropped the gloves after a hit by the former, with both players receiving off-setting minors, however Clan were level before the period was out thanks to Gary Haden's tip on Nate Kallen's shot at 18:43. Both goals in the opening 20 minutes were scored on the powerplay. Karjalainen pulled off an excellent sprawling save to prevent Storm going back ahead on the next shift.

Four unanswered goals in period two put the Storm in control of the game. Tyler Hinam swung at Sam Temblay's pass to force the puck past Karjalainen on the 23-mark mark to put Storm back ahead, before three goals in under five minutes followed. Captain Cam Critchlow got on a loose puck in the crease that Karjalainen didn't have covered to make it 3-1 at 24:58, while Hinam got in between two Clan defenseman to poke him ay 27:07. Dallas Ehrhardt made it 5-1 on another loose puck around Karjalainen's crease to give Storm a comfortable lead.

Gary Haden and Luke Lynch struck 24 seconds apart to pull the score back to 5-3 shortly before the 45-minute mark. A nervousness came over the Storm Shelter with Saturday's blown 3-0 lead doubeltessi n the minds of home fans. However, Zack Phillips put their minds at rest with the Storm's sixth of the night, before he wrapped up the game with a powerplay goal with one second remaining.
