Coach Tom Pokel announced Italy's  final roster for Minsk: goalie Gianluca Vallini, defenders Andrea Ambrosi, Luca and Michael Zanatta and forward Hannes Stofner are the final excluded, while Armin Helfer is out due to a sprain. Forward Thomas Larkin, the only italian player drafted in NHL, currently playing in USA with Evansville Icemen, will join the team in Belarus. Italian champion SV Renon will have just one player, forward Dan Tudin, while 5 players are from EBEL champion HC Bolzano  Italy will open World Championship on May 10 against Norway
